Poster competition and Free papers


Posters will be displayed electronically on FullHD LCD monitors during the Symposium.

Please note that poster boards for printed posters will not be available.



Technical specifications for E-Posters

Create your document in PowerPoint Portrait Layout 9X16 and save it in jpg or png format.

Only 1 slide/page per e-poster is accepted.

Aspect ratio: 9:16

Minimum resolution: 1080×1920 pixels or its proportional multiple

Maximum file size: 10 MB

Font types: Arial, Calibri, Verdana Times New Roman or Helvetica fonts are recommended.

Font size: 11 points or larger

Hyperlinks, animated images, animations and videos are not permitted

QR Codes may be included

Images and tables: at least 200 dpi. Good picture quality is essential.

When saving your file please do not use symbols or special characters (ie. +/@/ü) in the file name.

By uploading your E-Poster, you agree to having it published in the official Symposium publications and on the SIVS 2023 website and virtual platform.

Abstract submission

Vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists, interventional cardiologists, interventional neuroradiologists, angiologists, phlebologists, lymphologists, vascular researchers as well as vascular medicine specialists are encouraged to submit abstracts to the Symposium.  Trainees’ and residents’ research works can be submitted for a competition. The best three presentations will be recognized and will receive cash prizes. All presenters will be listed on the SIVS 2023 website and will receive a Certificate attesting to their presentations.

Guidelines for Preparing and Submitting Your Abstract

Abstract submission is closed.

Presenters of accepted abstracts will be notified until 26 February 2023.

Abstracts should not exceed 300 words beyond the title, the name of the author(s), institution and country of origin.

All Abstract presentations will be in English and must be delivered within 4 minutes.

All authors must register for the Symposium.

SIVS Poster Competition for 

Medical Students, Residents, Fellows and recently graduated physicians (within their first 3 years of practice) 

The Organizers are pleased to announce a Poster Competition for the 2023 Symposium and invite all  poster abstract authors who wish to compete  to register their posters.

SIVS only accepts electronic abstract submissions via the official abstract submission website. No more than two abstracts from the same first author will be selected for competition. Electronic presentation of the posters at poster stations will be available throughout the congress and a distinguished panel of judges will make the decisions. 

  • The Frank J. Veith Award for the best poster on endovascular interventions and imaging.
  • The Peter Gloviczki Award for the best poster on vascular surgery.
  • The D. Emerick Szilágyi Award for best poster on basic and translational science.


The three finalists will be invited to give a live presentation (3 min. presentation, 2 min discussion) for the congress on May 20th,  with power-point slides.
