Semmelweis University

Dear Colleagues,

It is with the greatest pleasure that we invite you to Budapest, Hungary, to the Semmelweis International Vascular Symposium, organized jointly by Semmelweis University and the Frank J. Veith International Society on May 18-20, 2023. This 3-day vascular meeting will bring together an outstanding international faculty from Europe and the United States to discuss advances and controversies in the multidisciplinary management of aortic, peripheral and carotid arterial disease, acute venous thromboembolism, chronic venous disease and lymphedema.

The symposium will provide ample opportunities for both young and experienced vascular specialists to learn the latest developments in medical, endovascular and surgical treatment of vascular diseases from world renowned vascular leaders, listen to fast track presentations, panel discussions and invited lectures, learn new technology and techniques at hands-on workshops, present abstracts and participate in trainees’ competition.

The venue of the symposium is the beautiful Basic Medical Science Center of the Semmelweis University. The University is the leading medical school in Central Europe and the largest provider of health care services in Hungary. The Frank J. Veith International Society’ mission is to educate vascular specialists and to advance vascular care in the 21st century.

Budapest, capital of Hungary, is one of the most beautiful cities and Spa capital of the world. It is famous for its rich culture and heritage, the spectacular Parliament Building, the magnificent State Opera House, the mighty Danube River and the 19th century Chain Bridge that connects the hilly, historic Buda with the flat Pest, with its busy businesses, vibrant walking streets, famous restaurants, coffee houses and pastry shops, serving Hungarian culinary delicacies.

We are pleased to offer you this unique educational opportunity together with a chance to visit a great city and participate in a special social program of the symposium.

See you all in Budapest, Hungary.
